Western Digital 300 GB Hard Disk Storage


Korea Western Digital announced the launch of its new 10,000 RPM hard disk “Velociraptor” in South Korea market in mid-May.

The latest from Western Digital Raptor family 10000 rpm, 300 GB drive Velociraptor doubled the capacity of the previous generation of 150 WD Raptor hard drive. WD pressed its 10000 rpm 2.5-inch drive, a chassis. Although the player himself only 2.5 inches, the Velociraptor is 3.5 inches, a tape player.

Heat generation remains a constant concern with hard drives, especially when the player runs faster than a 10000 rpm model. WD addresses the issue head on the mounting 2.5-inch drive Velociraptor sink in a sled. The sink icepack helps the Velociraptor run cooler than the previous generation Raptor.

WD plans on the reader of PC Gamer and enthusiasts first, while the Velociraptor Enterprise has been specially designed for applications class, and the company expects that will be adopted in enterprise policy and parameters. The available price is USD 299.
