Nokia 6085 Review

Nokia 6085 is an inexpensive clamshell phone with expandable memory and an MP3 player. It’s a pretty disappointing mix of components that appear to have been thrown together.

Nokia have revise a fairly standard overall look that we’ve seen in other 6000 series clamhshells, and then added a low end 128×160 pixel display and VGA resolution camera. The Nokia 6085 comes with a microSD slot, FM radio, Bluetooth and an MP3 player and usefully it is a quad-band GSM phone.

Nokia 5300 Xpress Music Phone

Carrying the XpressMusic name, the Nokia 5300 looks great, especially with the clever dedicated multimedia keys, but ultimately it’s a pretty standard handset roughly analogous to the Nokia 6131 clamshell. Sony Ericsson K618i Review

The specification of the K618i already - it’s a very lightweight 3G phone weighing just 89 grams with a 2 megapixel camera, expandable memory (using Memory Stick Micro cards) with a 256Mb card included, it has Bluetooth and of course an MP3 player.

The K618i’s display is only a 176×220 pixel unit, but this is an acceptable trade-off for the handset’s light weight and it will be good enough for most people. Overall, the K618i shows typically stylish Sony Ericsson design - it’s a smart looking device that is pretty unmistakable in its origins.

Samsung SGH-Z520 Preview

Positioned one notch above the lightweight Z500 3G phone in Samsung’s range, the SGH-Z520 has a 240×320 pixel display main, 2 megapixel primary camera, 40Mb of internal memory with microSD expansion, and MP3/multimedia player, inbuilt “digital power amp” and Bluetooth. There are external media controls too, so the Z520 can be used as an MP3 player when closed.
