MSI release a new netbook powered by AMD Neo. Its MSI Wind L2100 ultraportable netbook which is different with previous version MSI Wind U210 although both of them using AMD Neo MV-40 processor.

The MSI Wind L2100 has 12.1-inch LED backlit widescreen display, running on Windows 7 Home Premium operating system, GPU ATI Radeon X1250, 2GB of RAM, and 250GB of HDD. Its lower specs rather than MSI Wind U230 which also using AMD Neo.

Acer release a notebook powered by AMD Athlon which called Acer Aspire 5538. Its an ultra-thin design laptop with beautiful golden shell and deliver HD entertainment with DirectX 10 graphic support.

Acer 5538 using AMD PowerNow! capable to bring less battery usage and the notebook has 3.5-hours battery life (6-cell battery Li-Ion). Another features like 15.6-inch LCD TFT screen with 1366×768 pixel (16:9 aspect ratio), AMD Athlon X2 L310 or AMD Athlon M64 TF20 processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM (up to 4GB), ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 GPU (512MB dedicated DDR3 RAM) and 160/250/320/500 GB of HDD.

MSI release another X-Slim notebook version. Its MSI X610 based with AMD platform. The processor using the 2nd generation ultra-thin platform.

The MSI Slim X610 has 15.6-inch large display but the thickness less than 25-mm with weight 2.1-kg (include 6-cell battery). Sadly theres no optical drive and you must buy it separately. And here is the specification of MSI X-Slim X610 laptop:

Performance of Radeon has been improve with new ATI Catalyst which is release from AMD. The ATI Catalyst drivers has well performance bases on testing by tweaktown in following – synthetic, real-world, HDR, OpenGL, Direct3D along with AA and AF.

From the performance improvement like RADEON HD 2600 and RADION HD2400 ( single and crossfire) show 6% improvement in 3DMark 2006 and 3D Mark 2005. Serious Sam 2 with HDR enabled improves as much as 14.5% on Radeon HD2900, Radeon HD2600 and Radeon HD2400 products.
