It combines the must-have characteristics of a true 16:9 widescreen format with an integral Blu-ray Disc drive.

Surprisingly compact but with an impressive 16.4-inch display and extremely powerful thanks to a powerful combination of Intel Core 2 Duo processors and ATI graphics, the VAIO FW has everything you need to make mobile HD a reality .

The screen specially designed packaging in the visual superlatives Sony is famous. The WXGA + + (1600 x 900) resolution means masses of work and perfectly reproduced the widescreen format HD movies or HD video content. To ensure that HD movies sound as good as their appearance, the range uses Dolby Room technology recreating the quality of immersion of a small cinema house on the computer’s own speakers or helmet.
With the ability to write and read Blu-ray technology on certain models, the VAIO FW allows you to edit and store up to 50 GB HD personal video content on a single disc.

Visually the FW-Series is designed to match style with virtually any procedure. His body curved line shows the advantage of any angle, cylindrical and hinge with a power button light embedded in its tip is a trademark VAIO design. The very compact chassis is closer to what you expect with a 15-inch screen, and characteristics of the key elements of the construction magnesium alloy for durability still low overall weight.

The keyboard has been carefully designed with space between keys and slightly concave to make keys by typing quick and precise. The action is firm and precise, but the silence and isolation of “design and long-key travel are exceptionally comfortable, even for delicate fingers with long nails.
It is now available in the market between Korea 2199000 (KRW) and 1749000 (KRW).
