June 30, 2010 | Seagate, Storage | 1 CommentSeagate launches its 3TB FreeAgent GoFlex Desk (STAC3000100) equipped with USB 2.0 interface namely Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk. Its first external desktop drive possible to store 120 HD movies, 1,500 video games, and more photos and music.
The 3TB Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk include upgrade cables and kits are available to make it easy to move up from USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 or FireWire 800. This requires a special $39.99 GoFlex Upgrade cable, but means you don’t have to buy a new drive in the future if new faster connections appear.
Seagate 3TB hardisk drive works with Windows PC and Mac and supports AES 192-bit encryption on Windows. The 3TB GoFlex Desk is available with USB 2.0 adapter for $249.
