Samsung Huge Storage SATA II SSD 64GB
November 6, 2007 | Computer, Electronics, Samsung | Comments OffSamsung Electronic has been launch their new storage media for solid state drive (SSD) 64GB SATA II in 2.5 inch. It’s support sequential write speed 100 Mbps and sequential read speed in 120 Mbps.

SATA II SSD usually used in notebook which technology combine 50 nm-class with single-level-cell (SLC) 8 GB flash chip with Samsung proprietary, high speed SATA controller and supporting software.
The new SATA from Samsung also feature a 3.0 Gbps interface speed which is double speed from SATA I predeccessor. Also SATA II SSD only required half of power as 1.9 watts consumed by hard drive storage which is used in notebook PC.
Market research firm Web-Feet Research estimates that the NAND flashbased SSD market is expected to show 74 percent compounded annual growth from 2007 through 2012 to reach US$10billion in 2012.
