This document describes how to connect an iPhone/iPod Touch to the RMIT secure wireless network (RMIT-WPA). The steps to getting connected are connecting to unsecured RMIT wireless network, installing the RMIT University profile and then connecting to the secure RMIT-WPA network. Before beginning your wireless configuration, please ensure your Novell (NDS) account is active and that the password has not expired. This is your staff ‘e’ number or your student ‘s’ number. It is necessary to first connect to the unsecured RMIT network so that the RMIT profile can be downloaded, enabling connection to the secure network. To connect to the unsecure RMIT network.

5. To register your iPod now, click Continue.
6. To register your iPod, you must have an Apple ID.
a. If you already have an Apple ID, select Use my Apple ID to register my iPod
i. Type in your Apple ID and Password and click Continue.
ii. Type in the information requested and click Submit.
b. If you do not have an Apple ID, select I do not have an Apple ID.
i. Select Country and then click Continue.
ii. Type in the information requested and then click Submit.
7. Your iPod Touch is now registered to you.

Using the auto-focus framing marks (to take pictures)
On the LCD screen, framing marks indicate the camera focus area. The camera attempts to focus on foreground subjects, even if the subjects are not centered in the scene.
1 Press the Shutter button halfway. When the framing marks turn green, focus is accomplished
2 If the camera is not focusing on the desired subject (or if the framing marks disappear), release the Shutter button, recompose the scene, and repeat step 1.
3 Press the Shutter button completely down to take the picture.
NOTE: Framing marks do not appear in Landscape or Video mode. When you use Focus Zone (see page 20) and set Center Zone, the framing marks are fixed at Center Wide.
