iPhone Quick Reference User Guide

Lock the phone To lock the phone and prevent it from dialling accidentally: press the power button on the top. The screen will deactivate and you will hear a click. In this mode, the screen will not respond to input. The buttons however are still functional.

Power off the phone Press and hold the power button for approx 5 seconds, then slide the red arrow to the right. To power on again, hold power button for a few seconds until the Apple logo appears.

Before using your iPhone it must first be activated via iTunes. This will configure it for use on your mobile phone network. This is telling you that your battery is too low to continue using your device. Plug it into the charger and it will change to the screen below and you can continue to operate.

Press the Power, Home and Volume Down buttons at the same time for approximately 10 seconds. This will send a power off command to the phone. You can turn it on again after a few seconds and continue to use the phone normally.
