The Insides of Panda Cloud Antivirus

Not long ago Panda released its Panda Cloud Antivirus product, thus marking a shift in the paradigm of malware detection and removal. Even if in beta, it quickly gained popularity among users thanks to its connection to Collective Intelligence, a huge database of malware signature files. Based on the concept of cloud computing, this innovative approach yields remarkable results in both efficiency and impact on resource consumption.

The application is intelligent and has been designed to act only when necessary taking fast action in detecting and eliminating malware on your machine without affecting the performance of the system. However, after testing the beta version of this new antivirus model, we were still left with a lot of questions about its inner-workings, as well as Panda’s future plans for it.

The Proxy Book Manual Guide

The proxy Book is a weekly proxy magazine that lists a number of hand-picked web proxies that actually work. These Proxies are chosen by our editors at Secret IP Address based on speed and ease of use of the proxies. A new version of proxy book is released weekly, either on tuesdays or wednesdays.

Thanks to the advent of shared proxy hosts, the web is filled with thousands of proxies. These proxy are shut down as quickly due to your school/office blocking them. Our idea is to provide a host of fresh proxies every week. This book will be distributed through mailing lists, forums and other file hosting websites so that you need not rely on a single top site that will eventually get blocked too.

Picasa Basics for the Web

Picasa for Windows is a free image editing software program from Google. It can be used with images from digital cameras, scans, off the web, or even images created in a paint program. Features include a library for browsing images on the computer, image enhancement tools, and image sharing tools. This tutorial will introduce you to Picasa, with a focus on preparing images to use on the Web.

The Picasa installation Wizard will guide you through the basic installation. There are two items to keep in mind with first installing Picasa. 1. If you have a previous version of Picasa and it has already set-up a library of your images, install the new version before you uninstall the old version. After the new version is installed, start it. You will be asked if you want to import your existing library database. Select yes if you do. Once your new version of Picasa has imported your library, you can uninstall the old version.

Resizing Photos Using Picasa

As this tutorial is primarily aimed at photographers who use Findapic to display their photos, I have outlined the methods according to what I believe suits these people best. However, if one particular method suits you better, please use that, as confidence in what you will achieve is the desired result.

Navigate to the folder that holds the images you wish to resize for loading into your gallery on Findapic. When you have found the folder, select the images you wish to resize. There are several ways to select the photos. You can choose to select all by going to the edit->select all option, or by using your keyboard and the ctrl + click options to select the photos. Use your preferred method.

I recommend that photo files uploaded to Findapic should be under 50kb, but if you can manage, keeping files under 35kb is even better. It will give the website users a faster and therefore better experience when viewing your photos, and thus increase the chances of them buying.
