Panasonic surprised with a compact P2-camera video-based HPX-170. This is not what many, replacing HVX expected, this device is rather less impressive than most of the qualities HVX.

Panasonic tried by making the HPX-170 the camera that pros requested for. But sincerely, its a shame that Panasonic can make a Varicam-class camera to be so outwardly unaesthetic. It feels so Plastic and unappealling.

A piece of tool that stands to create art should be artistic itself.

Panasonic didn’t do well to inspire the user of the cam by its plain plastic look. Thanks!

could not agree more with the above, its like a brick with a lens attached to it. awesome camera inside [hope its better than the HVX200] but totally uninspiring on the inside, infact looking at the pic on this page, i think people would think im an amateur!
