Motorola MS600 RAZR Z CDMA
November 23, 2006 | Cellular Phone, Gadgets, Motorola | Comments OffThe Motorola MS600 RAZR Z is a CDMA device, not a GSM device, aimed at the Korean market. The MS600 RAZR Z is interesting though, because it’s a rare Motorola sliding phone and it’s quite possible that we’ll see a GSM version sometime during 2006.

At 110 grams and 104x51x14.8mm overall, the MS600 RAZR R isn’t as light or as compact as some sliders, and it doesn’t appear to come with any expandable memory (although we could be wrong).
There’s been quite a bit of fuss about this handset in some sections of the mobile phone press, but ultimately this handset is pretty dull. At 14.8mm thick, the MS600 is one of the slimmest sliders anywhere, but not by much.. the Samsung D820 is only 0.1mm thicker. There’s a QVGA (240×320 pixel) display in 262,000 colours, a 1.3 megapixel digital camera, 128Mb of internal memory and an MP3 player.
Motorola MS600 RAZR Z specification:

All of the features in the MS600 RAZR Z are widely available in GSM phones and have been for some time. However, this handset (and its sibling, the MS550) show that perhaps Motorola will move into the slider market, currently dominated by Samsung and more recently Nokia. Will we see this handset for GSM networks? Perhaps we’ll hear something soon.
