Kontron AdvanceMC and AdvanceTCA
Nowadays the technology growing so fast, but there is still being use like PCB. There are so many technologies and I still remember when I was young, I buy a PCB or printed circuit board and soldered some components like IC, transistor, resistor and so on. And then I have a police siren, really fun it was.
And now the PCB has the Advance Mezzanine Cards or AdvanceMC which is the next generation of carrier grade communication equipment with more than 100 companies participating. The AMC have specification like PICMG AMC.0, AMC.1, AMC.2, AMC.3 and AMC.4 respectively.
Beside the AMC there is also Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture or AdvanceTCA which targeted to requirement for the next generation processors and the latest trends in high speed interconnect technologies. You can have a look the implementation of AdvanceMC and AdvanceTCA on the Kontron.com. They have many implementations such as processor AMC which compliant with PICMG’s AMC.x specifications and can achieve the extreme high performance and data throughput in very small form factor.
