    HP Korea today launched its two business-class laptops based on Puma mobile platform, the 15.4-inch HP Compaq 6735b and 14.1 inches HP Compaq 6535b.

    The HP Compaq 6735b and 6535b have ATI Radeon 3200 HD integrated graphics and support up to 8 GB DDR2 800 MHz. However, the offers include configurations 3 GB or 2 GB of RAM. The systems currently available are equipped with up to 160 GB hard drive, a DVD burner, which can be replaced by a secondary hard drive, and built in webcam in some models.

    The Compaq 6735b comes with a WXGA anti-glare, WXGA BrightView, WSXGA or anti-glare 15.4-inch screen. The display options for 14.1-inch HP Compaq 6535b include WXGA anti-glare, WXGA BrightView and WXGA anti-glare.

    Regarding networking and connectivity, there are Broadcom 802.11a/b/g n-type module wireless controller, Gigabit Ethernet, a 56K modem, and Bluetooth and options for mobile broadband. Each notebook has four USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, Firewire port, VGA and S-Video results, and a media card reader.

    Security features include Trusted Platform Module 1.2 and various security-related software applications, and a fingerprint reader and optional smart card reader that replaces the ExpressCard slot. Price suggested is 1100000 (KRW) and 1300000 (KRW).

    Meanwhile, the company also launches its low-end PC notebook-based company Puma mobile platform, the 15.4-inch HP Compaq 6735s and 14.1 inches HP Compaq 6535s. Suggested retail price is between 700,000 (KRW) and 900000 (KRW).
