The Buffalo MiniStation Lite is suitable for store data, backup and transport the digital data with compact form factor. The capacity available in 250GB, 320GB, 500GB and 640GB. Seagate release the first solid state drive (SSD) which named Seagate Pulsar with 2.5-inch form factor using single-levell cell (SLC) technology. It has capacity up to 200GB with speed read and write up to 240 MB/s and 200 MB/s.

This Seagate Pulsar is design for server or enterprise application. The peak performance can be achieve up to 30,000 read IOPS and 25,000 write IOPS (I/O per second). You can connect the Pulsar SSD via serial ATA II interface and its consume only 50% energy rather than traditional HDD.

Samsung Electronics release new 3.5-inch external drive STORY Station featuring the first use of standby power below one watt. The reduced level of backup power easily meets the requirements of EuP of future European Union (Energy Using Products) Directive for the regulation of day, effective January 2010.

Samsung lowers standby power by over 95 percent, to 0.09W from the conventional level of 2.5 W, a move that will reduce CO2 emissions indirectly. Introduction of Samsungs low-power standby mode is the first for any 3.5-inch external hard drive.

The power level reduced standby has been achieved by adopting a new circuit structure, which makes the drive non-operational when the power cord is plugged into the USB port and is not.

Samsungs 3.5-inch external STORY Station hard drive line up is available worldwide in densities ranging from 500 GB to TB and two features Samsung Auto Backup for data retention current SecretZoneTM software to encrypt personal data and SafetyKey for protecting password.
