Because it requires less powerful hardware to operate, battery life is greatly improved and low-cost netbooks can utilise the improve functionality and security of Windows 7 whilst they are on the move. Surfing the internet using a wireless broadband connection in a coffee shop will no longer suck your battery dry in minutes. The cutting edge need not be expensive or time-consuming.

You can download the service packs SP2 for Vista by 2 ways which provided by Microsoft. First, you can direct download the service packs and this is maybe the fast method. And the second method by download a small script which will be add an entry to windows registry which will make the service pakcs available in windows update.

For your information, this is still in BETA version and I suggest you do not install it to your computer for works. This beta service pack of windows Vista will be expire in May 2009.

Here is the steps. Open the registry editor program from the “Start | Run | Regedit.” Once the registry editor to appear on the screen, go to the key “HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Control Panel | Desktop.” Search entry called “AutoEndTasks.” Open the entry and change the value in the Value data from “0″ to “1″. Click “OK” and close the registry editor. Restart your PC that can run these tricks with smooth. To test it, you can open several specific programs in Windows XP, and then do the shutdown process.

Windows Vortex 9x 2008

Jared Proudfoot one of the managers from Microsoft’s support lifecycle group has said “Recently, there have been a number of posts in the blogosphere about Windows XP and the upcoming end of direct OEM and retail license availability” he also added “Some people are interpreting this as the end of support for Windows XP“

The security update will be offer until 8 April 2014 which mean Windows XP will be 13 years old until the support end. For me it’s a good news because I still using Windows XP service pack 2 rather than Windows Vista. It’s more lighter and more compatible with most of the software.
