The Nokia 6288 is a revised version of the 6280, although it's very difficult to see what has changed between the two models apart from a few cosmetic differences. As with the previous handset, the Nokia 6288 is a 3G slider with a 2 megapixel main camera, VGA subcamera, 240x320 pixel display, Bluetooth, multimedia support and microSD expandable memory. The main difference appears to be that the Nokia 6282 is bundled with a 512Mb memory card, compared to 64Mb on the old version. At 115...
The Nokia 770 has always been an oddity in Nokia's line-up as it lacks a phone or GPRS or 3G data, instead relying on WiFi or a Bluetooth connection to another handset. And early devices had teething problems, as discussed in our review. But as it runs Linux, the open source community have been very busy porting applications to Nokia's Maemo platform, which we understand has led to the development of other similar devices during 2006. Originally announced almost a year ago, the Nokia 770...
A new addition to the L'Amour range, the Nokia 7390 is probably also Nokia's first sensible 3G clamshell phone. It's a pretty conventional but well specified device, with a 3 megapixel digital camera, 240x320 pixel display, external media controls, microSD expandable memory, Bluetooth, video calling, stereo FM radio, MP3 player and everything else you'd expect to find in a 3G device.. except, being a L'Amour series device, it's also very attractively designed. There's a Bronze Black...
An upgrade to the attractive Nokia 7370, the Nokia 7373 forms part of the Nokia L'Amour collection. It's almost identical to the 7370, except the 7373 comes with a 2 megapixel digital camera which nicely complements the 7373's 240x320 pixel display and microSD expandable memory. Internal memory has also been increased to 128Mb, and the Nokia 7373 retains the MP3 player and all the other functionality of the previous device. Available in Bronze Black, Powder Pink and Black Chrome colours at...
The Nokia 8800 Sirocco Editio is a fairly minor but useful upgrade of the existing Nokia 8800, replacing the 0.5 megapixel camera in the 8800 with a much more useful 2.0 megapixel device and increasing the internal memory from 64Mb tp 128Mb. There's also an FM radio, MP3 player and expandable memory. It's slightly thicker than the older 8800, with a subtly redesigned keypad and case. The battery life has also improved slightly, a weakness on the old phone. It still features the metallic case...
Following right behind the Nokia N71 , is the Nokia N80. It is Nokia’s first second slider phone, with the first being the Nokia 7650. And it comes packed with goodies for the camera-phone fanatics. The N80 goes for the pixels with a 352 x 416 screen and a 3 megapixel camera. We saw some pics last month and it looks like they were spot on: it is a slider, Nokia’s first smartphone in such a form factor. There is an extra camera for video calls, but sadly...
