AMD fulfill their promises and officially launched a new series of graphic plates – ATI Radeon HD 4600 who intend to offer exceptional performance for games and multimedia HD, consumption of energy less than that of a bulb. And all this at a very attractive price for graphics from plates integrate category.

4600 series graphic plate versions are practically limited series of 4800, with what AMD has successfully overcome those of Nvidia. They are based on TeraScale graphics processor, built in 55 nm and with 320 stream processors which is a modification of RV770.

ATI Radeon HD 4670 runs at 750 MHz frequency nuclear memory to 2 GHz frequency, has a 256-bit memory, and may include 512 MB or 1 GB of GDDR3 memory. Less powerful version, ATI Radeon HD 4650, has a frequency of 600MHz nuclear, 1 GHz frequency memory, 128-bit memory and includes 512 MB of memory GDDR2.

Both plates have 320 stream processors, 32 texture units and support of DirectX 10.1 include Unified Video Decoder (UVD) 2.0 for the treatment of HD video and HDMI 7.1 audio.

Plates are reducing energy consumption, 60W for 4670 and 50W for 4650. The prices are very attractive, are smaller than initial estimates. So HD 4670 with 512 MB of memory costs $ 80 (with 1 GB version will appear later), and HD 4650 at a price of $ 60.

Initial reviews the performance of these gadgets seems to be excellent, given low energy consumption and prices. So HD 4670 is somewhere between HD Radeon 3650 or GeForce 9500 GT and Radeon HD 3850 or GeForce 9600 GT / GSO in some tests, even overcome.
