AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ Windsor
October 12, 2007 | Computer | Comments OffAfter AMD cut their price for all of their processor units, the price can be affordable by all of consumer. One of the high-end processor which also cut the price is AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ which has 2800 MHz clock speed.

Although AMD already release a new basic core called “Brisbane”, but AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ still use core “Windsor” which is still process by 90 nm technology. With socket AM2, Athlon 64 X2 use multiplier x14 with FSB 200 MHz. HyperTransport technology use by 1 GHz and with normal work in 1.35 volt.
The processor have a large cache L1 in 128kb and the L2 have 2x1MB. X2 have OPN (ordering part number) ADA5600IAA6CZ and this mean the processor has been produce in week 51 at year 2006.
Athlon 64 X2 5600+ has standard feature like MMX, 3DNow!, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, AMD64, Cool’n'Quiet, NX Bit and AMD Virtualization. The processor have TDP (Thermal Design POwer) about 89 watt and has die around 220 mm2 with 227 billion transistor. The performance of the processor quite good. For the overclock it can be raise from 200 MHz to 280 MHz.
